Toby S. Monaco

B.A. psychology, University of Florida, 1970. J.D. with honors, University of Florida, 1973; Law Review; Order of the Coif. Admitted to The Florida Bar and to the United States Northern District. President, Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association, 1982-83. Fellow, American College of Trial Lawyers (inducted 1991).

 

 

Engaged in private practice of law as a civil trial lawyer from 1974 until elected Circuit Judge for the Eighth Judicial Circuit, beginning office in January 2001. Member of the Executive Committee of the Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar before election to judicial office. Served as Administrative Judge of the Family Division, Administrative Judge of Circuit Civil Division, and Chief Judge until retirement in December 2018. Adjunct Instructor, Trial Practice, UF College of Law. Legislative Coordinating Committee of the Circuit Judges Conference.

 

Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator.
