Began law practice with Rogers, Towers, Bailey, Jones & Gay in Jacksonville, Florida; Partner with McGalliard, Mills, deMontmollin, Smith & Monaco in Gainesville until appointed to the Alachua County Court in 1986. Specialized in civil litigation, and in commercial and real property transactions. President-elect, Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association, prior to judicial appointment.

 

Alachua County Court Judge, 1986-1990 Circuit Judge 1991-2010. Administrative Judge for Civil Division and for Family Law Division.Chief Judge of the Eighth Judicial Circuit, 2005-2009. Supreme Court Family Court Steering Committee, and Domestic Violence Subcommittee; Civil Rules Committee; Local Rules Committee; Judicial Evaluation Committee. Adjunct Professor, Trial Practice, UF College of Law;Faculty Member, Advanced Trial Advocacy Seminar, UF College of Law.
